Their commitment to quality is what gives Can-Traffic the strong and recognized reputation it enjoys.As the first point of contact the Receptionist must be professional, polite and helpful and will be responsible for a variety of routine clerical, reception, and office support functions.
What you will do Everyday
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of documents, presentations, and reports for use by the various departments.
- Manage special projects as needed to support the operations and manage adhoc requests such as client events, sponsorship or donations, catering, etc.
- Compile and process data, verifying correctness, accuracy and consistency of information following established procedures and within timelines.
- Assist Human Resources, Safety and Fleet with data entry tasks and database maintenance.
- Assist with the orientation/onboarding of new hires and the training of all employees and contractors where needed.
- Provide support to other staff members as needed
- Provide back up support and/or other support functions to the various Can-Traffic departments.
- Other duties as required.
Skills Required:
- Sound knowledge of administrative and general office procedures
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of relevant computer programs such as Share Point, Microsoft O365 suite, and Adobe
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Ability to recognize and deal with matters of a confidential nature in a discrete and professional manner
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
Qualifications Needed
- High School diploma with three (3) years of related experience in a similar position within a construction environment
- Office administration diploma/certificate from an accredited program/institution is an asset
