    We are growing our Autodesk Fusion Manufacturing Data Model (MFGDM) team in Canada, and looking for a Principal Software Developer in Test to join our team.

    MFGDM is the foundation of Manufacturing Cloud and core to Data Framework to build manufacturing data model and cloud services to shift from traditional monolithic file to granular data and then to enable concurrency, integration, automation and collaboration throughout the entire product lifecycle with granular data, making it possible to empower customers to design and make better products faster.

    The team we are growing in Canada will focus on building fundamental data extraction pipeline in MFGDM, defining the data model and building related services to extract valuable data assets and establish data centricity, hence enabling product team using the granulated data to fulfill critical customer workflows, building insights from the data, and releasing full values buried in files.

    The team will develop, deploy, maintain and support data extraction solutions & services. The team need collaborate with other MFGDM teams in Canada and with extended teams cross GEOs. Now, we are an autonomic, T-shape, and energetic group.

    The whole team effort is an essential part for achieving corporate data strategy and winning the race to the next gen Design & Manufacturing Platform.

    Location:
    Toronto or Montreal, to co-locate with existing MFGDM teams.

    Responsibilities Work within a scrum team with about 6-7 engineers Work with Product Owner, Architects and Tech Leads to build and align on acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality delivery of our projects/services Collaborate with other Quality Engineers and Quality Champions across the organization to drive effectiveness and consistency Develop test strategy, apply right test methodologies and perform hands-on validation for delivery of projects with high quality Observe and identify gaps and risks throughout development cycle from quality perspective, leverage analytics to quantify the gaps/risks and come up with solutions to address the gaps/risks Thoroughly understand the value we are delivering to our customers with our projects and develop test plans based on the targeted workflows by collaborating with Experience Design and Product Management teams Communicate with stakeholders and teams about test strategies, test planning, status and risks Communicate with 2nd party (internal) 3rd party (external) teams that are building on MFGDM to understand issues related to quality and iterate on test planning Understand and enhance the existing automation framework and tools Consistently demonstrate the sense of engineering excellence and lead or contribute to initiatives that ensure release of projects/features with speed and high-quality.

    For example, remove the gap in automation framework, develop tools to monitor health of services, leverage data analysis in risk/gap assessment, optimize operating processes Drive best practices for quality within the team and promote proven best practices outside the team Minimum Qualifications BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline 8+ years of Software Development/Automation Development/Testing experience in commercialized products or enterprise-level systems (preferably in Cloud Services) Solid skills in programming/scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, etc.

    Solid familiarity with QA methodologies Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git Ability to adapt to changes in priorities/direction and work with teams that are globally distributed Great problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cloud services or Web Development and Testing Solid experience in Web automation tools/testing framework Familiarity with AWS services Experience with C++ Experience with data analytics #LI-POST Learn More About Autodesk
