Your role as a Business Intelligence Product Owner:
As the Business Intelligence Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of driving our business intelligence solutions forward.

Your primary focus will be on gathering requirements, creating impactful data visualizations, and leveraging your deep understanding of business dynamics to inform product development.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, and a strong grasp of business principles.


What you'll be doing:

Requirement Gathering:


  • Conduct indepth discussions with internal and external stakeholders to identify and understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Utilize your business acumen to translate these needs into actionable requirements that drive the development of effective BI solutions.

User Story and Epic Creation:

  • Develop clear and concise user stories and epics that reflect both technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that user stories are aligned with business goals and priorities.

Data Visualization Mastery:


  • Utilize your understanding of business metrics and KPIs to craft visualizations that effectively communicate key performance indicators and trends.
  • Take the lead role in developing data visualizations that convey critical insights to stakeholders, facilitating informed decisionmaking.

Product Backlog Management:


  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Use your business expertise to guide decisionmaking around feature prioritization and roadmap planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration:


  • Foster collaboration between development teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant departments to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and design specialists, leveraging your business knowledge to facilitate effective communication, alignment, and integration of design principles.

Quality Assurance:


  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that delivered products meet high standards of quality and usability.
  • Utilize your business knowledge to assess the impact of product changes on end users and overall business operations.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and use insights to drive continuous improvement in BI solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging your business acumen to identify opportunities for enhancing our products.

What we're looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in business intelligence or analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (DOMO preferred) and techniques.
  • Deep understanding of business principles, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
