    Description

    Arista Networks is seeking exceptional Software Test Engineers to contribute to the development of top-quality networking products. As part of Arista, you will collaborate closely with developers to detect and resolve bugs before they impact customers. Your role will involve strategizing to uncover challenging bugs that may not be caught by automated tests.

    Responsibilities:

    • Utilize all available resources to identify software and hardware bugs.
    • Create test plans to validate Arista features and products.
    • Develop test network topologies to assess functionality, performance, and scalability.
    • Execute test plans to confirm product aspects and validate fixes.
    • Collaborate within an agile development and test team to deliver functional software efficiently.
    • Assist developers in creating automated tests alongside manual testing efforts.
    • Contribute customer-centric insights during reviews of functional specifications and software design.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated proficiency in test methodology and plan creation.
    • Expertise in various networking areas such as Ethernet, IP Routing, BGP, QoS, and more.
    • Experience with IXIA and/or Spirent test tools preferred.
    • Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages desirable.
    • Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE with 3+ years of experience; Master's degree is a plus.

    Additional Information

    The base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $140,000, varying based on work location to ensure fair and competitive compensation. The final offer will be determined considering multiple factors including skills, qualifications, and experience.

    Besides base pay, certain roles may qualify for discretionary bonuses and equity at Arista. Sales employees can participate in the Sales Incentive Plan which offers commissions based on eligible sales. Additionally, staff are entitled to benefits like medical coverage, retirement savings, and more, with specific details shared during the hiring process.
