    NEURORADIOLOGIST – HAMILTON
    The Department of Medical Imaging, McMaster University and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging,
    Hamilton Health Sciences are seeking a full-time diagnostic neuroradiologist for the Hamilton
    General Hospital site.

    The Hamilton General Hospital is a large tertiary referral centre, with the Regional Stroke Centre,
    a busy Neurosurgical Centre and Level 1 trauma program. The Neuroradiology Division at this site is
    comprised of ten fellowship trained neuroradiologists, within a group of twenty eight radiologists,
    providing a full range of diagnostic clinical services. Applicants must possess skills which will
    enhance our tertiary imaging team and multi- disciplinary programs. The position involves
    scheduling for clinical work, subspecialty and teaching rounds, encompassing assignments in both
    inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as participation in the Department on-call schedule. The
    position includes some general radiology work. Applicants must possess strong diagnostic skills and
    will be expected to participate in percutaneous spinal procedures, such as image-guided lumbar
    punctures and myelography. Completion of two-year neuroradiology fellowship training is preferred,
    although candidates with one year of fellowship training are also encouraged to apply. Experience
    in advanced MR techniques will be considered an asset.

    This is a full-time faculty position at McMaster University, with academic rank commensurate with
    the candidate's qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will promote clinical
    scholarship through teaching, mentorship and support for research and will demonstrate excellence
    in clinical care, exhibit collegial, civil relations in all interactions. The McMaster
    Neuroradiology Residency Program is an accredited program with the Royal College of Physicians and
    Surgeons of Canada. As well, the McMaster Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program is a highly rated
    training program in Canada. Participation in teaching and supervision for our strong residency and
    subspecialty programs, as well as undergraduate programs is required.

    Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario, certified in
    Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and meet the
    credentialing requirements of Hamilton Health Sciences and Barton Associates affiliated community
    practices.
