Attending to 40,000+ service calls per year, Gateway is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada.

Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal and electrical trades.

These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway's full technical capability is available for every project and service call.

The Inside Sales Representative is a key position within Gateway. This position is the first point of contact for our valued customers.

This role works closely with operations and the sales department to ensure that Gateway maintains "best in class" customer service.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Increases account revenue by understanding client's needs and concerns, uncovering opportunities, and introducing additional products and services.
  • Initiate regular follow up with clients regarding proposals and to ensure satisfaction with service levels and progression of work.
  • Close sales and work with the customer through the closing process. (Follow up on Quotes Repairs/Replacements)
  • Answer customer questions and follow up call questions and liasing the customer with the proper Gateway resources when required.
  • Account Management for House Accounts
  • Contract and Labour Rate Milestone Reviews
  • Provide awardwinning customer service; build quality relationships and make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
  • Work with A/R to resolve any payment delays.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance contracts are updated and maintained.
  • Working with the Area Manager, develop sales planning to manage, retain and grow existing account listing.
Liaise, consult and communicate with various stakeholders to address any concerns with client sites, systems and equipment

  • When required, support with maintainance of the CRM to ensure all customer data and activity is captured and current.
  • Other duties assigned as the department grows.

Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A certificate or diploma in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Inside sales experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Proven data entry, data editing and typing skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure with acute attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Professional appearance and manners.
