    06 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of vacation

    Reporting to the Head Athletic Therapist, the Certified Athletic Therapist is responsible for the organization and implementation of athletic therapy services for the Mountaineer high-performance varsity program.

    The incumbent will be responsible for the prevention, immediate care, assessment and rehabilitation of athletes' sports related injuries; continue to build relationships with institutions that have Athletic Therapy programs in order to secure student Athletic therapists for Mohawk Athletics as of the season; and the provision of first responder coverage for a variety of varsity practices, games and championships.

    Evening & weekend availability is required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
    Provides on-site coverage at practices, competitions and championship games


    This includes:
    assessing whether an athlete can return to play, must sit out the remainder of the event, and/or much seek further medical attention; providing initial treatment for medical emergencies (e.g.

    fractures/dislocations, severe blood loss, spinal injuries, shock related to injury, heat illnesses/hypothermia, concussion management, and loss of consciousness and other deteriorating signs and symptoms, etc.) and contacting Emergency Medical Services (ambulance).

    Perform administrative tasks related to assessment and treatment, including documenting findings/treatments done during client appointments; 4 year applied degree in an athletic therapy related program
    Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
    The ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse students, employees, and communities.
    Option to enroll in Defined Benefit pension plan (CAAT) with contributions matched by Mohawk College.
    Discounted rate for full-service athletic facility and instructor-led classes.
