JOB SUMMARY:

UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES MAINTENANCE MANAGER TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO LICENSED MAINTENANCE STAFF IN CARPENTRY, PAINTING, ELECTRICAL, LOCKSMITH, PLUMBING, HEATING, AND VENTILATION.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Handling materials and heavy equipment such as scaffolding for the accomplishment of work.
Holding parts or pieces in a predetermined manner.
Providing required tools to the licensed maintenance staff.
Preparing all areas and surfaces to be painted and paint minor repairs.
Provide assistance to the skilled trade staff (painter, carpenters, electricians, heating and ventilation technicians, locksmith, plumber) with the tasks related to their work.
Replacing stained or damaged ceiling tiles.
Removing and replacing damaged floor tiles.
Replacing damaged baseboards.
Giving certain individuals (contractors) access to required areas.
Snow removal around campus.
Cleaning of the shop.
Replacing damaged window balances.
Repairing window screens.
Installation of signage.
Performing any other related tasks as may be assigned.
