    Description

    Our category-leading mobile app and Tile tracking devices empower members to protect the people, pets, and things they care about most with a range of services, including location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection with emergency dispatch.

    This person will be an integral part of the core of our applications as they will be required to become experts in areas ranging from background collection services to our highly visible mapping features.

    As a member of the team it is expected that you will be highly involved in architecting, designing, and leading development of the next generation of our systems and features.

    For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 165,000 to 210,000 CAD. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
    Work with a cross-functional team with close cooperation with Design, Backend Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and Product
    Building out the future of Life360's best-in-class Location experience
    Pursue continual improvement to our device finding network
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    We will be solving problems that do not have clear solutions, no help from Stack Overflow here
    Will be spending equally as much time designing and prototyping as writing production code
    Even someone with deep knowledge of writing applications in iOS will need to understand the internal tech in location engine and adapt as the OS does
    Familiarity with networking and persistence technologies
