Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES

_ Operations Support - 60%_

  • Reconcile multicurrency payment processors
  • Process accounting journal entries
  • Collaborate closely with the other departments within the finance team to liaise and share information
  • Carry out other accounting related tasks as needed

_ Reporting - 30%_

  • Prepare monthly banking reconciliations
  • Provide analyses of movements within various accounts
  • Provide support with the monthend closing process
  • Assist with audits by providing required supporting documentation
  • Manage and maintain efficient and accurate filing

_ Continuous Improvement - 10%_

  • Act as resource for more junior staff by providing guidance and support, answering questions, and bringing forth potential solutions
  • Assist the Finance team in the development and optimization of systems
  • Participate in creating, drafting and maintaining policies and procedures

Qualifications:


  • D.E.C or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 23 years experience in a similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP), an asset
  • Good English and French written and spoken communication skills
