QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College Diploma in Social Services or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years working experience in addictions and behavioral counseling.
  • Experience and knowledge of addictions
- including treatment modalities and pharmacology; mental health services; case management
- including assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, aftercare planning and referral; individual and group counseling; and development and delivery of psycho-educational sessions.

  • Must be able to work in emotionally charged environment at time characterized by high stress.
  • Experience and knowledge regarding addiction medicine, including Opiate Replacement Therapy
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in community and conflict management.
  • Experience in delivery of psychoeducational sessions and process groups required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
