This positions has a
wage range of $23$25 per hour based on years of experience and a skills assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.

Our
Advanced Flow Systems facility is looking for an experienced and energetic
Material Handler/Junior Painter to join our Paint Department in Maple Ridge, BC.

The
Material Handler/Junior Painter is responsible for providing day to day support to the production and quality departments, including but not limited to, receiving, and issuing to production for all incoming deliveries.

Also coordinating, including all necessary paperwork for all outbound shipments. They will work alongside the Industrial Painter and Sand Blaster on shift.

Assisting the paint team in following the company processes and procedures to execute production work on time and to meet the quality expectations of our customer.

They will maintain a safe work environment, including good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques and proper use of all materials.

This is a
weekend position would be working 12 hour days Friday, Saturday an Sunday, but be paid for 40 hours, after the completion of training.

Essential functions for this role are:

Material Handling/Shipper/Receiver - 50%

Receive and inspect all incoming materials ensuring goods match packing list, internal bill of materials and acceptable in quantity and quality
Match product with shipping orders and/or purchase orders
Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
Ensure outbound shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product within the manufacturing facility
Maybe required to assist with scheduling freight appointments
Maybe required to perform material handling to support production
Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking of shipped product
Pictures are to be taken and stored properly for all outboard shipments
Assist in management of inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Problem solves for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveries
Maintain accurate records for all inspected products
Operate from specific and defined directions and instructions, under mínimal supervision
Maintain a safe work environment, including good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques and proper use of all materials i.e., box cutters
Palletizing and crating of shipments
Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

Junior Painter - 50%

Follow instructions of lead painter(s) on shift
Upon completed training, sandblasting of product when required
Prep product for paint
Read and understand specifications and painting instructions
Ensure work meets process requirements and quality control standards
Upon completed training, prepare and mix required paint and coating materials.
Assist in painting where required
Ensure all health and safety policies are followed
Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

If you have the following experience, qualifications and skills, we want to hear from you

1+ years of industrial painting experience an asset
Working towards a Red Seal Industrial Painter an asset
Experience in material handling, shipping/receiving duties
Knowledge of OHS legislation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
Experience with maintaining and/or operating a forklift and/or heavy equipment an asset
