    Mechanical Engineer

    Ottawa, ON K1G 0Y9

    We are seeking a talented individual to join our team full-time, working on-site in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

    As a key member of multiple project teams, you will utilize your engineering expertise to analyze and solve complex technical challenges.

    Your responsibilities will include learning and documenting existing technologies, identifying and addressing design issues, and developing innovative solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and make a significant impact in the world.


    In this role, you will be an integral part of our Engineering Team, collaborating closely with other engineers as well as our manufacturing and production team.

    Your primary focus will be on designing, producing, and maintaining innovative products that facilitate on-site chemical recycling.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Design

    • Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products from concept to production
    • Conduct research to determine the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems
    • Create detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and industrial designers, to integrate mechanical designs into overall product architecture
    • Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs and ensure they meet performance requirements and safety standards
    • Identify and resolve design issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
    • Prototype and test mechanical systems and components to validate designs and performance

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • BSc, BEng, or MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and production
    • Eligible to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario
    • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering among team members
    • Minimum 5 years' experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as Inventor or SolidWorks to create detailed mechanical designs
    • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
    • Must have a valid drivers license, passport and be willing/capable to travel to the US and overseas
