    ContainerWorld is looking for an experienced HR Coordinator - Occupational Health & Safety to join our HR Team in Richmond, BC

    ContainerWorld located in Richmond, British Columbia is a premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; privately owned company with approximately employees throughout its nine BC facilities. ContainerWorld also operates in Ontario.

    We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company. We have a Warehouse Management System to include voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning. Our automation also includes an ERP, CRM, Cargowise, Truckmate, Sage, Kronos applications to prime us for present and future expansions into other provinces. ContainerWorld actively supports Lean Six Sigma concepts.

    Working Days & Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

    Here's an overview of the position:

    Working mainly independently with guidance from Director, Human Resources as required, is responsible for coordinating HR and related matters, with majority of activities in OH&S. The position is also responsible for providing management reports and training as required. Is responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of own work and has considerable impact on efficient operations of own area and some other areas/departments.

    Here's what you will be doing:

    Occupation Health & Safety

  • Manages the OH&S Program for all locations:
  • Chairs or ensure compliance to JOH&S meetings, mandatory training for first aid and other training
  • Assist or ensure compliance to all workplace accident investigations
  • WorkSafe reporting
  • Work with Managers and/or WorkSafe on Return-to-Work or Modified Duties program to support accommodation for employees
  • Establish good relationship with employees to foster and develop RTW or MD program

  • Meet with employees
  • Work with JOHS or Managers to develop duty-to-accommodate programs for all positions
  • Audit overall compliance by all locations with regards to OH&S

    Interprets Company's HR & OH&S policies and procedures to ensure consistent implementation.

    Assists with HR initiatives to support organizational development by facilitating implementation of HR practices.

    Backup as required to other team members on other HR related activities

    Here's what we are looking for:

  • 2 - 4 years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety
  • 2 years' experience in warehouse union operations is a preferable
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
