- Assist the team with the development and fostering of an inclusive, empowered culture where every team member – staff and volunteer – feels their contributions towards our mission are equally valued and respected.
- Ensure understanding of, and compliance with, all CNIB's policies and procedures.
- Champion CNIB's high standard of client and customer service, ensuring they are universally understood by staff and volunteers, and continuously upheld across all aspects of camp operations.
- Support the Guest Experience team with reception services and tend to guest needs.
- Assist with a number of HR, finance, fleet and administrative/clerical tasks.
- Enrolled in a recognized Business Certificate Program, or equivalent job-related experience.
- Experience with human resources, finance or other similar fields, an asset.
- Administrative and operational experience an asset.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Office 365 including word processing and experience working in a database environment including queries.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined.
- A customer-oriented approach is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with difficult situations or individuals.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

Founded in 1918, CNIB is one of Canada's oldest charities. For more than 60 years, CNIB Lake Joe has been providing exciting, safe, and accessible camp experiences for Canadians with sight loss. CNIB Lake Joe is looking for a Assistant, Operations to help us bring the magic of summer camp to life for 'kids of all ages' with sight loss, and their families
Note that this position will reside at CNIB Lake Joe during the operational season from May to August and will share accommodations with other staff members.
