    Technical Trainee Calgary

    Engineered Air is one of North America's largest manufacturers of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, energy recovery and heat transfer products. Engineered Air's head office is in Calgary, Alberta with manufacturing facilities located in Calgary, Edmonton, Newmarket Ontario, and Desoto Kansas with sales offices located right across North America. Engineered Air's integrated sales, design and manufacturing groups enable the company to produce built to order custom equipment that is designed to meet specific project requirements.     Engineered Air is recognized as a leader in providing extensive employee training. The training program is located in Calgary, and depending on experience and ability could be up to two years in length. This program allows you to rotate throughout the company in a variety of manufacturing and design modules and gives you a broad knowledge of our business. Through ongoing training at our lunch & learns presentations and our in-house classroom instruction we keep our employees current with the latest technology and developments. The training program will prepare you for a successful career and is consistent with your interests & aspirations as well as our corporate goals with Engineered Air.

    Responsibilities

  • Work hands on with power tools and equipment in manufacturing plants.
  • Preparation of equipment performance data and specifications.
  • Detailed mechanical layout of air handling units.
  • Special construction details.
  • Hydronic or gas piping schematics.
  • Electrical wiring schematics.
  • Complete description of control sequence of operation.

    • Qualifications Required

  • Currently attending or completed a mechanical or electrical degree/diploma program.
  • Related design, production, or service experience will be advantageous but not necessary.

    • Skills Required

  • Ability to accept assignments on short notice and work within strict deadlines is essential.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and have strong people skills.
  • The ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
