    Description
    Vice President Enterprise Technology Americas Remote
    Building easy-to-use accounting software for small business owners. It's the goal that's driven us to expand into five offices, serving customers in over 160 countries.

    Known for extraordinary product and customer service experiences and based in Toronto, Canada, FreshBooks serves paying customers in over 120 countries, with offices in the U.Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the VP of Enterprise Technology will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and operations of the technology that makes our business work.

    This includes ownership of Enterprise Architecture, IT, and Core Billing functions.
    They must be a collaborative executive with the ability to work across the various businesses and functions effectively.

    This leader will be a strong people manager and team builder, capable of building, leading, and inspiring a large team.

    Establish the strategic direction of the FreshBooks' information systems; Develop and own a long term technology strategy and operational plan to ensure FreshBooks' technology will meet the growing needs of the global business with multiple acquisitions
    Lead and maintain the implementation of new operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, processes, and communication.

    Examine existing software, tools, and technologies to develop strategies that will help to reduce costs, and improve business processes and workflows.

    Responsible for setting the strategic direction and operational maintenance of the billing and payments team.
    Responsible for setting realistic schedules, monitoring progress, and balancing resources across teams and locations as appropriate
    Grow our software development capabilities to support our internal departments
    Collaborate cross-functionally to identify next-generation technologies.

    Bridge the gap between technical, creative and business needs to confidently distill technical issues and provide solutions to senior leadership and partners.

    Full oversight of the Information Systems budget and cost control.

    Extensive experience leading IT and technology teams at a high-growth technology company, including 2 years in a VP or similar role.

    10 years of experience in Information Technology with a strong background in a SaaS environment.
    10 years of experience developing global enterprise technology solutions and managing teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies
    An enterprise-wide understanding of FreshBooks or similar businesses with an appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies.
    Extensive experience planning and deploying business and IT initiative.
