We're a small, fast growing remote team of around 35 team members from around the world, composed of dedicated and talented individuals with a core focus on engineering and product.

About the Role

As a

People Operations Generalist at Voiceflow, you will be instrumental in helping scale and grow an early-stage startup. Currently a Series-A funded company with 50 people, we have plans to scale over the next year (and beyond).


Working under the leadership of the Head of People Operations, we are looking for someone that is passionate about the new hire and employee experience along with supporting our operations team with team-wide initiatives.

You will create lasting impressions and programs that energize and engage our employees.

You will make sure prospective and current employees feel welcome, respected, appreciated and part of the Flowsters culture & team.

All mixed together, you're the link that will help nurture our unique culture and create an exceptional experience for our people


What You'll Do:


  • You will be a highperforming member of our Internal Operations team, working under our COO and Head of People, and alongside Finance, Ops, People Ops and Legal.

New Hire Experience:


  • Collaborate closely with our Co-Founders, Hiring Managers, and Operations team to gain a comprehensive understanding of our headcount needs and how they can affect our team
  • Manage the endtoend onboarding process for new employees, including facilitating orientation sessions and setting up new employee paperwork
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and HRIS updates. (We use BambooHR as our HRIS)
  • Refine and adapt our onboarding program by taking into account the feedback received from new hires

Employee Experience

  • Take an active part in creating and executing People Ops initiatives and programs, including employee engagement, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Manage employee recognition and culture programs to celebrate our amazing employees.
  • Offer advice and assistance to managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our Culture Team to organize and host unforgettable staff events, including offsites, parties, and gatherings for our team.

Vendor & Office Management

  • Oversee the maintenance of our Toronto office space, equipment and liaise with service providers as needed.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, including negotiating contracts and resolving any issues or disputes.

About You:


  • You have relevant experience in the people and operations space, preferably for a startup or a small business.
  • You're uptodate on HR best practices, laws, and regulations, and you know how to communicate these to others.
  • You're a great communicator and collaborator, and you love working with people.
  • You're a natural problemsolver and have experience developing and implementing teamwide initiatives.
  • You're techsavvy and familiar with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
  • You're highly organized and can juggle multiple tasks and projects without breaking a sweat.
  • You're adaptable and flexible, and you can roll with the punches when priorities shift.
