    The Role:

    This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis. Occasional travel will be minimal.

    Reporting to Coach Canada's Regional Vice-President, this role will lead all aspects of maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies while maximizing fleet efficiency and safety. You will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing maintenance strategies as it relates to the procurement, servicing, maintenance, and repair of the Coach Canada Fleet.

    In this role, you will uphold current maintenance best practices, while developing and implementing innovative strategies. You will lead by example, direct personnel, allocate resources, and provide regular communications to meet Coach Canada's vehicle needs and assure smooth and efficient operations.

    This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise to drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and influence a team of maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple locations, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve maintenance objectives.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability within the maintenance department, promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Assure vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Coordinate subordinate work assignments and review work to assure accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards, requirements, and procedures.
    • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
    • Assist in preparing the annual preliminary budget for vehicle maintenance, repair, operation, servicing, and procurement functions; analyze and review budgetary and financial data; control and authorize expenditures in accordance with established limitations.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on maintenance performance, challenges, and initiatives.
    • Direct off-site maintenance, repair, and recovery functions for roadside vehicle services.
    • Review the work of mechanics and other maintenance personnel to assure compliance with established standards, guidelines, and procedures.
    • Participate in related negotiation and quotation activities; oversee the selling or disposal of used vehicles.
    • Confer with other divisions concerning vehicle needs and issues.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers under approved vendors list.
    • Develop and support processes to improve occupational health, safety, and efficiencies for Maintenance Department personnel.
    • Ensure that sufficient materials, special tools, and equipment are calibrated and have been made available to accomplish the required maintenance of the Company's fleet.
    • Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, ongoing performance review, and accountability of Maintenance Department personnel. This may require coaching, counselling and discipline when needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years in a maintenance management position, preference will be given to candidates who have experience in a senior management role.
    • Proven ability to organize, direct, and oversee maintenance department operations.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to establish and maintain priorities and timelines.
    • Proven sound judgement and decision-making skills to be able to effectively monitor, evaluate and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repair projects.
    • Experience in personnel management, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
    • Demonstrated experience in promoting a safety culture and encouraging hazard reporting.
    • Effective delegation skills for managing various maintenance divisional activities.
    • Valid license and appropriate training in fleet maintenance.
    • Commitment to occupational health, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in vendor management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
    • Must have 310T License.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills for fostering team cohesion and liaising with regulatory authorities.

    Relevant du vice-président régional de Coach Canada, ce rôle dirigera tous les aspects des opérations de maintenance, en assurant le respect des normes réglementaires et des politiques de l'entreprise tout en maximisant l'efficacité et la sécurité de la flotte. Vous serez responsable de l'élaboration, de l'organisation et de la mise en œuvre des stratégies d'entretien en ce qui a trait à l'approvisionnement, à l'entretien, à l'entretien et à la réparation de la flotte de Coach Canada.

    Dans ce rôle, vous respecterez les meilleures pratiques de maintenance actuelles, tout en développant et en mettant en œuvre des stratégies innovantes.     Responsabilités :

    • Diriger et influencer une équipe de gestionnaires de la maintenance, de superviseurs et de techniciens sur plusieurs sites, en fournissant des conseils, un encadrement et un soutien pour atteindre les objectifs de maintenance.
    • Favoriser une culture de sécurité, de qualité et de responsabilisation au sein du service d'entretien, en favorisant le respect des exigences réglementaires et des politiques de l'entreprise.
    • Veiller à ce que les fonctions et les activités liées aux véhicules soient conformes aux lois, aux codes, aux règles, aux règlements, aux politiques et aux procédures établis.
    • Coordonner les affectations de travail subordonnées et examiner le travail pour assurer l'exactitude, l'exhaustivité et la conformité aux normes, aux exigences et aux procédures établies.
    • Élaborer et gérer des budgets d'entretien, en veillant à ce que l'affectation rentable des ressources et le respect des objectifs financiers soient conformes.
    • Aider à la préparation du budget préliminaire annuel pour les fonctions d'entretien, de réparation, d'exploitation, d'entretien et d'approvisionnement des véhicules ; analyser et examiner les données budgétaires et financières ; contrôler et autoriser les dépenses conformément aux limites établies.
    • Fournir régulièrement des rapports et des mises à jour à la haute direction sur le rendement, les défis et les initiatives en matière d'entretien.
    • Fonctions directes d'entretien, de réparation et de récupération hors site pour les services de véhicules routiers.
    • Examiner le travail des mécaniciens et des autres membres du personnel d'entretien pour s'assurer qu'ils sont conformes aux normes, aux lignes directrices et aux procédures établies.
    • Participer à des activités de négociation et de cotation connexes ; superviser la vente ou l'aliénation des véhicules d'occasion.
    • S'entretenir avec d'autres divisions au sujet des besoins et des questions relatives aux véhicules.
    • Établir et entretenir des relations avec les fournisseurs et les fournisseurs de la liste des fournisseurs approuvés.
    • Élaborer et soutenir des processus visant à améliorer la santé, la sécurité et l'efficacité au travail pour le personnel du service d'entretien.
    • S'assurer que suffisamment de matériaux, d'outils spéciaux et d'équipement sont étalonnés et ont été mis à disposition pour effectuer l'entretien requis de la flotte de l'entreprise.
    • Responsable des entrevues, de l'embauche, de l'examen continu du rendement et de la responsabilisation du personnel du service d'entretien. Cela peut nécessiter de l'encadrement, du counseling et de la discipline au besoin.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum de 5 ans dans un poste de gestion de la maintenance, la préférence sera donnée aux candidats qui ont de l'expérience dans un rôle de cadre supérieur.
    • Capacité avérée d'organiser, de diriger et de superviser les opérations du service de maintenance.
    • Solides compétences organisationnelles et multitâche pour établir et maintenir les priorités et les échéanciers.
    • Jugement éprouvé et compétences décisionnelles pour être en mesure de surveiller, d'évaluer et de déterminer efficacement la priorité des projets d'entretien, d'entretien et de réparation des véhicules.
    • Expérience en gestion du personnel, en évaluation du rendement et en mesures disciplinaires.
    • Expérience démontrée dans la promotion d'une culture de sûreté et l'encouragement de la déclaration des dangers.
    • Compétences de délégation efficaces pour la gestion de diverses activités de la division de maintenance.
    • Licence valide et formation appropriée en maintenance de la flotte.
    • Engagement à l'égard de la santé, de la sécurité et de l'amélioration continue au travail.
    • Maîtrise de la gestion des fournisseurs, de la budgétisation et de la planification stratégique.
    • Doit avoir la licence 310T.
    • Excellentes compétences en communication et en leadership pour favoriser la cohésion de l'équipe et assurer la liaison avec les autorités de réglementation.
    • Doit être capable de parler et de communiquer en anglais, bilingue en français serait un atout
