Job Description:


Reporting to Chair, Academic Development, the Transfer Pathways Coordinator is responsible for negotiating, facilitating and coordinating the academic pathways processes across the College, including the development, maintenance, renewal, and closure of pathways.


The incumbent works closely with and advises the Chair, Academic Administrators, and faculty in the development, planning, and execution of an Articulation Strategy that includes internal and external pathways.

The incumbent guides stakeholders through the pathway development and renewal processes, completing data and information analysis, explaining and interpreting College policies and procedures, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating curriculum mapping, documenting all steps, actions, and outcomes of the process within the AC Pathways Salesforce database, and ensuring the accurate and timely display of pathways on the Algonquin College website and the website.

The incumbent works closely with Academic Administrators and other internal stakeholders, such as the International Education Center, Registrar's Office, and Marketing and Recruitment, keeping them informed of the status of the pathway development or renewal process, ensuring their activities are completed, and seeking their support on issues, as needed.

The incumbent develops and maintains professional relationships with external pathway partners, including other local, provincial, national, and international postsecondary institutions and provincial organizations, such as Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT), to support the development, maintenance, and promotion of the College's pathways.


Working closely with Academic Departments, College Marketing, the Registrar's Office, Recruitment, International, and Student Services, this position helps to guide and advise recruitment activities and the promotion of academic pathway opportunities to current, prospective, and former Algonquin College students.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) year diploma/degree in Education, Business, Social Science, Sciences or related field;
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in:
  • Working on multiple, complex activities concurrently
  • Experience interpreting and communicating policies
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in research, analysis and reporting of data
  • Experience in post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of post-secondary programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills-
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems, such as Salesforce, would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of web content development and webpage management would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and mapping would be considered an asset.
  • Experience developing and negotiating contracts is strongly recommended.
