Business Technology Analyst - OCC (Operations Control Centre) for our
IT team to join our rapidly expanding, dynamic organization

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:
Reporting to the Director, Airline Operational Technology, the Business Technology Analyst - OCC improves and maintains the company's use of information technology systems.
They will provide ongoing analysis of our business requirements and our evolving technology environment as well as participate in technology selection, planning and coordination work to federate, harmonize or integrate our key business systems.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Manage the business functions and user authorizations of IS Applications:
Cyber-security training and management
Identity Management (Single Sign On)
- Assist stakeholders to evaluate technical processes and provide an effective interface with vendor partners.
- Recommend modifications to (or the use of) systems to improve efficiency and reduce the cost of operations.
- Determine appropriate and sensible procedures for IT technologies
- Assist business stakeholders with equipment & software configurations to facilitate business needs.
- Provide resolutions for business and ITassociated issues.
- Administration and documentation of key resources to facilitate internal workflows and communicate across systems and data resources.
- Ongoing technical evaluation of key solutions/platforms to ensure the IS Team has identified and is tactically positioned to implement, secure, and properly execute accordingly.
- Monitors MSP desktop support provider and assists Director, Airline Operational Technology with managing the relationship
- Act as onsite "smart hands" and/or an expert user resource in cooperation with our MSP to troubleshoot and resolve complex technology issues that are beyond the technical scope of airline staff
- Assists Director, Airline Operational Technology with IT Asset Management lifecycle (procure, deploy, maintain, replace, retire)
- Assists Director, Operational Technology with management of cellular mobile provider (this will get more complicated as we start adding iPads and airplanes with SIM cards)
- Document technical processes and procedures for staff relating to IT Team managed systems.
- Maintain adherence to and advocate for change control process and procedure
- Cybersecurity awareness advocate and training coordinator for staff
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Diploma or university degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field, management information systems, or equivalent through a combination of education and/or experience.
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other IT customer support role
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
- Expert understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other technology products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Comfortable working rotating shifts 24/
- Proficient in English, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer oriented
