    Description

    We are currently seeking a Litigation Law Clerk in Tort and Insurance to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic along with the following qualifications and skills:

     Law Clerk Designation

     6+ years of Insurance Defence experience within a law firm

     In depth knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure

     Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

     Meticulous proofing and editing skills

     Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

     Proficiency with various computer applications, such as PC Law, Primafact, Word and Outlook

     Work well as a team player and independently

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

     File management

     Analysis, summarizing and briefing of medical documentation

     Request and follow up of undertakings

     Drafting of Mediation and Pre-trial materials

     Trial preparation, including issuing and serving Summons to Witness, all Trial related pleadings and preparation of Trial Briefs

     Preparation of Motion Records and ensuring service and court deadlines are met

     Organize and maintain client files to ensure deadlines are met and files are processed in a timely manner

    Job Type: Contract - Maternity Leave (12 months)

    Hybrid Office/Remote
