Feel like getting away? Want to recharge your batteries in a region with spectacular landscapes and a rich history? Interested in joining a dynamic and dedicated team? Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site is located on Chaleur Bay in Pointe-à-la-Croix, next to the majestic Restigouche River.

Winding between the shores of Québec and New Brunswick, it was the scene of the final naval battle between France and England for possession of North America.

For over 200 years the wreck of the mighty French Frigate the Machault laid untouched on the riverbed. Mi'kmaq, Acadians, and British and French troops took part in this decisive battle in the history of New France. The Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site brings this thrilling chapter in the Seven Years' War to life.
