The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan.

CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.

The Canadian Light Source is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst Summer Student within the Systems Technology Department.

Reporting to the Systems Technology Manager, this position will be a full-time summer position starting on Monday, May 1st and concluding on Thursday, August 31st or as discussed with the direct supervisor.

Position Summary:

As a Data Analyst Summer Student this role would be included in projects such as:

Data Flow definition, design and implementation in Tableau
Basic ETL duties
Data Model creation and curation
Data sanitation, validation and verification
Report/Dashboard creation and modification

Qualifications:

At least one year of university in a Technology related field such as Engineering or Computer Sciences
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work with little supervision
Familiarity with a sciencebased work setting is an asset

Remuneration:
Remuneration is consistent with the University of Saskatchewan Undergraduate Student Assistant Rates.
