If you were the P&C Business Partner, Retail, Canada now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Serving as the main P&C Business partner to our Retail leaders for all Canada retail stores
  • Thoughtfully leading all aspects of the people retail business model
  • Supporting retail teams to create a people strategy that builds amazing teams who exceed business objectives
  • Fostering, nurturing, and evolving relationships that enable rapport, trust and influence throughout the company
  • Providing advice and coaching to managers and employees on relevant business and people priorities such as identifying key talent, succession planning, supporting recognition and rewards, developing objectives, performance management, organization design, workforce planning, learning & development and terminations
  • Identifying business and resource gaps and partnership with retail leaders on solutions
  • Gathering and analyzing relevant people and business information to identify trends and communicate recommendations to get alignment on priorities and implement improvements
  • Ensuring relevant personaldevelopment tools and information for teams and employees are readily available, communicated, and understood you champion personal development
  • Leading and championing companywide P&C programs for the store teams, such as the Performance Review Process, Employee Engagement Survey, and Talent Review
  • Developing crossfunctional projects from scratch and participating in businesswide projects that aim to solve organizational pain points

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Creating 'out of the box' P&C solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Leading organizational design in partnership with senior business leaders.
  • Partnering to create people programs to support the business, Interim Role Program, Retail Stretch Assignment Program, etc.

Are you our next P&C Business Partner, Retail, Canada?:

  • College Degree, in Human Resources (HR) or relevant major preferred, plus 5 -8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a retail environment
  • You are comfortable navigating relationships, with expertise in leveraging data to manage a complex group of stakeholders
  • You highly collaborative style and a willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams as both a leader, and supporting team member
  • You have the ability to coach, mentor, advise team members towards growth and development paths in alignment with business and personal objectives
  • You have strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • You have strong analytical and problemsolving skills, easily able to analyze data, assess people, understand trends, and develop prioritized recommendations
  • You have excellent listening and communication skills, comfortable communicating large complex changes
  • You are comfortable operating in the work, and simultaneously enjoy being part of highly complex business discussion
  • You can quickly build an in depth understanding of the business, key processes, priorities and plans
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You can balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You are open and available to travelling up to 25% in your role
