Description
Recreation Clerk 1The goal of the City of Burnaby and its employees is to consistently deliver first class service and services to our community.
We're looking for enthusiastic team players to be part of the buzz at our City recreation and cultural centres As a Recreation Clerk 1, you'll be up-front-and center as a representative of the City, greeting guests and making sure that their experience is the best that it can be.
You should be a great multi-tasker since you'll need to juggle public contact, clerical and typing work (minimum 30 wpm net) as well as answer the telephone.
As a Recreation Clerk 1, some of your responsibilities will include maintaining booking and registration schedules as well as receiving cash and issuing receipts.
To qualify, you'll need to have completed Grade 12 including or supplemented by vocational and typing courses plus sound related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed.It's important that you're a keen and eager learner since members of the public will rely on your knowledge of department facilities, programs, booking and registration procedures.
As you'll be asked to compose emails, you should have some understanding of business English, as well as proper grammar and spelling.
Hourly Wage :
$27.
Schedule:
This is an auxiliary position, hours and shifts can vary depending on operational requirements, and are scheduled on an as needed basis.
The incumbent must have the availability to work scheduled shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, & weekends; available hours are Monday through Sunday from 5:30 AM – 11:00 PMLocation:
