    Description

    A career as a Senior Auditor working in the Internal Audit team at National Bank is a unique chance to acquire a general understanding of the Bank's activities and to contribute on various audits of end-to-end processes in the Personal banking, client experience, Insurance and Compliance sectors.

    In this role, you can use your strong interpersonal skills, abilities to work in a team, professional judgment and your knowledge of risk management and internal controls to have a positive impact on the organization.

    Contribute to the completion of audit mandates in agile mode, by taking charge of audit sections or acting as audit lead
    Identify the risks that could have a significant impact on the examined processes (efficiency and optimization) and establish an audit strategy with the use of data analysis to understand trends and detect anomalies
    Assess internal controls, analyze issues and help identify root causes in collaboration with relevant partners
    In collaboration with the partners, carry out regular and rigorous monitoring of the progress of action plans stemming from the work of Internal Audit and from regulatory authorities, while ensuring the quality of the documentation
    Ensure efficient collaboration and maintain a relationship of trust with auditors from other internal audit teams, partners from the 2 nd lines of defense and external auditors

    Within the Internal Audit sector, you will be part of a team of 12 professional colleagues and report to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit – Personal Banking, Client Experience and Compliance.

    Our offices are located at the head office in downtown Montreal.

    You can access personalized training content on such topics as internal audit, risk management and the Bank's activities to support your ongoing learning.

    Hold a Bachelor's degree related to the industry and 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the industry and 5 years of relevant experience
    Experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management
    Demonstrated leadership, strong ability to maintain relationships with internal and external Bank partners
    Ability to analyze data and to draw relevant conclusions
    Agile and results-oriented and ability to influence
    Knowledge of retail banking products and services, an asset


    Languages:
    ~ French

    Reason to require this language: you will need to collaborate with a regulator/authority/government body outside Quebec.
