In your role as the Purchase Order Tracking Clerk at The North West Company (NWC) you will be responsible for tracking all problem purchase orders at the Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre (WLSC).

As a Clerk you will also be involved in other duties as assigned.

Your Role:


  • Responsible for tracking all problem purchase orders and updating spreadsheets daily.
  • Communicates with inventory and production managers regarding problem purchase orders and the resolutions.
  • Works diligently with the GM team to rectify any inventory issues that occur.
  • Tracks, records and communicates all warehouse returns to vendor.
  • Responds to inquiries from accounts payable.
  • Act as a liaison with the CM (Category Management) and the RA (Replenishment Analysis) teams.
  • Assist with annual GM yearend inventory.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience:


  • Must possess previous office experience.
  • Must possess strong numeric and alphanumeric keyboarding skills.
  • Strong computer skills accompanied by demonstrated skills on Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow set procedures.
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team or independently.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management an asset.
