HOURS:
Must be available to work rotating and varying Days and Evening shifts and 1 in 5 weekends. 37.5 hours per week

Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs.

By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members.


Good Shepherd is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Mental Health Worker - HOMES Program

How You Will Make an Impact
The HOMES program provides supportive housing to persons who have been homeless and are living with a mental illness. Team members support tenants to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.

In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of tenants living at Emmaus Place. Services to tenants include assessment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, and supportive counseling.

  • A postsecondary education in social or health services
  • A minimum of three years' experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required
- 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential

  • Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
  • Adhere to working and operating within an antiracism and antioppression framework

What You'll Bring to Our Team
