The Role:

The Forklift Operator is responsible to operate the site machinery and loads while maintaining safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklift and follows the established standard practice for securing loads, winching, hoisting and rigging material.
Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times, and report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to Installation Supervisor.
Review schedule and daily workflow with Installation Supervisor to understand job requirements for materials installation.
Notify the Installation Supervisor of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives.
Participate in weekly toolbox safety meetings and document equipment safety inspection audits.
Keeping the equipment clean and in good shape at all times.
Working safely with the ground crew, supporting, and mentoring them when applicable.
Document deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the Installation Supervisor.
Perform other additional duties as required.

You will bring:

Valid G driver's license required, DZ license is an asset.
Certified for Class 7 machinery with proven experience.
Ability to safely operate machinery with a steady pace, awareness of surroundings and with sound judgement
Exceptional teamwork and problemsolving skills.
Energetic, dependable, reliable, punctual, and flexible
Ability to kneel, bend, reach, twist, sit, walk, climb and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Ability to work well in a teamoriented environment as well as independently.
Able to work in an outdoor environment and some flexibility required with working hours.
