The Role:

The Forklift Operator is responsible to operate the site machinery and loads while maintaining safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate forklift and follows the established standard practice for securing loads, winching, hoisting and rigging material.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times, and report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to Installation Supervisor.
  • Review schedule and daily workflow with Installation Supervisor to understand job requirements for materials installation.
  • Notify the Installation Supervisor of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternatives.
  • Participate in weekly toolbox safety meetings and document equipment safety inspection audits.
  • Keeping the equipment clean and in good shape at all times.
  • Working safely with the ground crew, supporting, and mentoring them when applicable.
  • Document deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the Installation Supervisor.
  • Perform other additional duties as required.

You will bring:


  • Valid G driver's license required, DZ license is an asset.
  • Certified for Class 7 machinery with proven experience.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery with a steady pace, awareness of surroundings and with sound judgement
  • Exceptional teamwork and problemsolving skills.
  • Energetic, dependable, reliable, punctual, and flexible
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, twist, sit, walk, climb and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work well in a teamoriented environment as well as independently.
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment and some flexibility required with working hours.
