    About the team and the role:

    eBay's Buyer Experience engineering team is looking for an outstanding Full Stack Engineer with AWS experience to help redefine the face of eBay. You'll be working with an outstanding team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to build great products that make a difference on one of the world's most trafficked and loved websites.

    The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of backend development experience and exposure to front end, working with high velocity teams. We want to work with the best, and we'd love for you to join us.

    What you will accomplish:

    • Contribute to the design and development of new cloud-based software architectures
    • Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability and deployment
    • Provide feedback about technical designs, proposals and code
    • Analyze existing applications/databases and identify areas for improvement
    • Craft and contribute to APIs that can support user experiences on web and mobile applications
    • Collaborate with engineers while also conducting code reviews to ensure consistent design patterns are being applied

    What you will bring:

    • Expertise in Python & Java with a deep understanding of its ecosystems and frameworks
    • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, Cognito, EKS, Open Search, Kinesis, S3, SNS, and SQS as well as infrastructure tools (ex:- Kubernetes, Docker)
    • Hands-on experience with cloud technology especially with serverless computing, and event-driven architecture. AWS-cloud experience required.
    • Experience with relational as well as NoSQL databases such as MSSQL, Postgresql, DynamoDB
    • Hands-on experience in web services (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
    • Familiar with client-side frameworks is plus, such as or React, and/or delivering consumer-facing digital experiences
    • Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka, enabling real-time communication and event-driven architectures.
    • Possess strong technical, analytical and communication skills with the ability to visualize and document processes.
    • Exposure to Test automation tools and practices (data contract validation, performance testing, etc).
    • Understanding of how to create modular and extensible APIs
    • Proficient at using appropriate security, documentation, and/or monitoring best practices
    • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
    • ​​Experience in fixing accessibility issues is a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field with 10 years of relevant experience or MS with 8 plus years experience
