Position Overview


Our Logistics and Packaging Specialist is responsible for internal and external logistics, all customs related issues, and control of packaging requirements.

The incumbent is charged with the procurement to maintaining, tracking, and resolving all packaging related issues within Aisin Canada's fast paced environment.


Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible to monitor all Internal / External logistics
  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries with carriers and resolve any issues
  • Work to decrease costs related to logistics (RFQ's to carriers), looking at routing changes/kaizens
  • Coordinate shipments related to UPS/FedEx/etc.
  • Negotiate window times for Customer/ Supplier deliveries
  • Visual control of all in/out bound shipments
  • Work with Supervisors to kaizen shipping and receiving area, ensure Safe dock systems are intact, ensure forklift fleet maintenance
  • Create customs docs as required,
  • Keep USMCA certifications up to date (formally NAFTA)
  • Work towards C-TPAT compliance
  • Work with our customs broker on any customs issues
  • Support other PC positions in time of absence (including Hancho & Supervisor)
  • Warehouse Management System for storage and movement of internal material
  • Inventory accuracy and reporting
  • Support 3Pillar activity to improve PC working conditions
  • Support activity to improve PC-KPI's
  • Other work assigned by your Management team


  • Packaging

  • New Model / Mass Production / Service_
  • Support packaging design & review
  • Create PPF's for customers / suppliers, and signoff by all appropriate parties
  • Procure quotes for packaging requirements
  • Prepare and present Fixed Asset / Dept. Expense proposals
  • Daily system counts to ensure flow in/flow out, packaging levels
  • Service Packaging
  • Any other packaging related requests by Management

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Good knowledge of logistics, understanding of customs requirements to ensure ACI is compliant to regulations.
  • Experience in a shipping/receiving role in an automotive setting
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decision
  • Strong skills MS Office (Outlook and Excel)
  • Previous experience in Production Control role an asset
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, packaging suppliers, and suppliers
  • PC Miler

Education/Training

  • Forklift Certification
  • Coaching & Mentoring Skills
  • Problem Solving Techniques
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • First Aid & CPR
