What you bring to the table:
- Completion of high school, or equivalent experience
- Post-Secondary education in a CNC Set-Up or Maintenance, or equivalent mechanical knowledge
- Valid Forklift Certification is an asset
- 3 or more years' experience in a Brake Press role
- 1 or more years' experience operating a Turret Punch and Laser
- Ability to read alpha and numeric work orders and part orders
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Comfortable working with various gauges of stainless steel
- Ability to use verniers, angle protractors, and other measuring equipment

How you'll use your skills and experience:
- Ensure brake presses, turret punches, and lasers are set up appropriately for long and short run orders.
- Lay out, set up, and operate brakes press, punch presses, computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment, and other hand tools to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch and drill, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
- Check product for correct shape, dimensions, and other specifications using a variety of measuring tools.
- Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
- Trouble shoot production machinery with an aim to keep the shift running by performing minor corrections or repairs.
- Start up and set up additional machines if basic trouble shooting procedures fail.
- Contact appropriate management personnel for machinery emergencies that would otherwise result in shift cancellation.
- Accurately / honestly and in a timely manner reports all manufactured quantities for both good parts and scrap parts for each work order in the ERP System

Job Types:

Salary:
$19.50-$23.00 per hour
