Norseman Structures is looking to add a Fiercely Reliable
Junior Estimator to our team.


The Junior Estimator is responsible for providing support in the preparation of estimates for construction activities to be included in proposal submissions to customers.


Responsibilities of the Junior Estimator

  • Support the Construction Estimator by gathering quotes
  • Work with the Construction Estimator to gather details on how estimating is done and develop the estimating procedure.
  • Review historical project costs, compare actual to budget, review and analysis the standard estimating templates for the installation. Develop productivity factors based on the risk identification
  • Work with the Construction Manager to administer the construction schedule which includes workers and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary education in Engineering Technology or related program
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and shift priorities as necessary.
  • Accurate and thorough; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Proactive and selfdirected; yet able to work as part of a team.
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate collaboratively with customers and team members.
  • Experience in Construction and/or Manufacturing an asset
  • Proficiency in the following areas: time management, written and verbal communication, problem solving and the use of Excel and Word
