Job Description

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will be accountable for all internal reporting functions of the Company.

Reporting Relationships and Contacts

Reports to:
Controller

Directs:
N/A

Internal Relationships:
All areas of the company

External Relationships:
External Service Providers, mainly external auditors but may include out-sourced internal audit functions

Scope of Role:

Support all aspects of accounting management
Manage journal entries, invoices etc., supporting reconciliations, continuity schedules, for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
Maintenance of a documented system of financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS guidelines and requirements
Establish and maintain policies & procedures to ensure proper accounting standards & controls.
Participate in preparation for the annual audit and quarterly reviews
Comply with local, state, and federal government and other regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings
Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
Utilize accounting ERP system to facilitate processes and maintain records
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Company's financial records.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

Knowledge and Experience:

New graduate CPA designation or similar knowledge and experience;
Exposure to and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS, internal controls, accounting policies & procedures;
Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes Oxley implementations is an asset.
