Geotechnical Consulting Engineering and
Material's Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, and Soil) Firm, that provides engineering consultation, construction field reviews, and construction materials testing, for a wide array of projects and clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Kontur is growing and is seeking a _
Laboratory Technician_to become part of Kontur's team. This position will be based at the main, Port Coquitlam, location. This is an hourly permanent position, with the expectation of full-time hours.

Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Wide variety of routine laboratory testing of soils, asphalt, and aggregate for physical properties.
Prepare and report laboratory results, including manual or computerized calculations and worksheets.
Operating, maintaining, and calibrating of laboratory equipment, as required.
This position is predominantly a laboratorybased position; however, some field work maybe requested from timetotime.
Participation in general laboratory cleaning.

Job Requirements:

Requires a flexible schedule.
Previous work experience is an asset. Training will be provided if necessary.
Must have an ability to lift and control weights up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be available for shift work (day/night shifts).
Must have at least a Grade 12 Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Postsecondary certificates or training an asset.
CCIL Certification is an asset.

Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur's Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies.

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per year
