    HEAVY DUTY APPRENTICE MECHANIC

    Calgary, AB

    Sterling Crane offers an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Year to Journeyman as a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time hourly position (minimum 40 hours per week) with occasional overtime.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, repair, test, and inspect mobile and crawler hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, trailers, and light duty vehicles within a leading PM program.
    • Identify parts needed for service and maintenance of equipment in Sterling Crane's fleet.
    • Provide detailed repair notes in paper and electronic work orders.

    Qualifications:

    • 3rd Year or Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is a must.
    • The chosen candidate should display safe work practices, adhere to company policies, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Link-Belt, Liebherr, Grove, and Tadano crane manufacturers is advantageous.
    • Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems is essential.
    • Must have personal hand tools, a valid driver's license, and preferably a valid Class 1 license.
    • Familiarity with FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) is a plus.
    • It is necessary for the successful candidate to maintain good standing with IUOE 955 or join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
