We are currently hiring for Permits Clerk with Traffic Operations Our team is searching for a Clerk II to join us in the Regulated Road Use unit.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in administering over 24,000 annual temporary road use permits for a wide range of purposes, including On-Street Construction (OSCAM), Block Party, Truck Route/TRAVIS, Special Events, Waste Bins/PODS, and Temporary Parking.

- Liaise with applicants as required to ensure accurate customer, work location, and accounting information is provided.
- Review OSCAM permit location for conflicts with other Truck Route / TRAVIS Permits and other work.
- Finalize permits, and work with internal stakeholders to issue approved permits
- Coordinate Emergency Service responses as requested by Edmonton Police Service and Fire Rescue Services
- Identify overweight and overdimensional moves that require additional support
- Accurately work with high work volumes in a highly structured area
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) year's diversified experience in general office practices and procedures including accounting administration and dispatching experience in the trucking or construction industry
- Proficiency with POSSE, SAP (Plant Maintenance and Notifications)
- Experience with Google Suite, Google Sheets, Google Docs
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to multi task in a busy environment
- Ability to read maps, such as Truck route maps

_ Up to 1 temporary full-time position for up to 18 months_
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week. Monday through Friday
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time.
Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
