Department Overview

  • TD is on a journey to leverage its strong brand equity to become the undisputed bank of choice in the 2SLGBTQ+, Black, and Women in Enterprise communities. To win and reach our vision, we have built a crossenterprise effort that includes TD Business Banking, TD Wealth and TD Canada Trust with a plan and capabilities to enhance our brand, deepen relationships with existing customers and drive new to bank business.
  • These initiatives will have detailed market analysis and customer research, as well as reviews of our credit processes, product offerings, referral/acquisition programs, training and recruitment efforts.
  • The goal of the Customer Segments team is to provide elevated advice for 2SLGBTQ+, Black, and Women in Enterprise customers to enhance financial health and security. The team is responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining customer segment programs to build awareness, accelerate acquisition and deepen customer relationships.
  • The team will actively work to strengthen the strategic and tactical alignment between core businesses including TD Canada Trust, TD Wealth, TD Business Banking and TD Insurance. It will also include involvement with enterprise partners like Marketing, Digital and our Customer Contact Centers.
  • As the Social Media Manager, you will work closely with business leaders and develop and execute social media channel strategies designed to grow the online community, increase the channel follower base, and overall positive engagement. You will own the strategy and positioning across all our various organic social media platforms.
  • You will be supporting multiple segments across the business bank including, the Black Customer Segment, Women in Enterprise, 2SLGBTQ+, Agriculture Group, and a subset of Small Business Bankers.
    Content Strategy
You will own the content curation strategy and identify appropriate and relevant content for our distribution team to engage and share
Coaching & Support
You will lead the social media training program for our advisors across the selected business bank groups.
Oversight & Monitoring
Develop an oversight and monitoring program to ensure advisors are in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • We require an individual who possesses a high degree of maturity and professionalism, in addition to strong written and oral skills, project management skills, and a keen eye for detail

Responsibilities:


  • Develop social media strategy and manage the program
  • Develop strategies to maximize outreach and increase engagement
  • Support sales channel initiatives with original content
  • Develop an oversight framework and process
  • Set KPI's and report on the performance of the content
  • Content curation and development
  • Reach out to potential influencers & manage influencer relationships

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of communications, social media and/or interactive engagement experience (e.g. digital marketing, public relations, and website) for a brand (regulated environment is a plus)
  • A passion for social media, staying up to date on emerging trends and understanding how social media platforms work
  • Experience with planning, building and managing social communities, developing, leading and executing social media strategies and analyzing and reporting results
  • Deep understanding of content for social, including the ability to manage and execute content strategies, produce and manage agile content on opportunity and guide agency partners in the production of content
  • Analytical skills able to evaluate research results and leverage facts to support POVs and recommendations.
  • Strong teamwork orientation with an ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment under tight deadlines, occasionally outside of normal business hours
  • A creative thinker and problem solver with strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills
  • Must be enthusiastic, and imaginative, have good judgment, a positive attitude, a commitment to delivering measurable results and a proven ability to manage projects to successful completion
  • Experience using social media tools and platforms
  • Selfstarter
  • French speaking is an asset
