    Your Opportunity:

    Reporting to the Care Manager of Addiction and Mental Health Housing, the Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team, providing mental health support to clients with mental illness and potential comorbidities in various supported housing settings. Key Responsibilities: Mental Health Support: Provide comprehensive mental health services to clients, ensuring individualized care plans are effectively implemented. Support Client Goals: Assist clients in setting and achieving their personal goals, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other programs and agencies to build capacity within supported housing environments, promoting a recovery-oriented approach. Scope of Practice: Operate within the RN scope of practice to assess, coordinate, supervise, administer, and evaluate health services and resources. Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between clients, families, natural supports, team members, contracted operators and their staff, physicians, mental health therapists, and other relevant programs and agencies. Intake Participation: Assist in intake activities to ensure appropriate placement and support for new clients. Program Overview: Addiction and Mental Health Housing is an interdisciplinary, recovery-oriented program aimed at supporting individuals in achieving stability and improving their quality of life within supported housing settings.

    Description:

    As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $ - $ Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article or (ii) as applicable.     Required Qualifications:

    Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (

Autonomy: Proven capability to manage responsibilities independently, making informed decisions to support client care. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and handle a dynamic work environment, ensuring flexibility in response to evolving client needs and program requirements.
