    The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Director, Research the Market Research Analyst will be a natural communicator with a strong analytical foundation and innate curiosity. This role is responsible for analyzing, interpreting and communicating insightful market and/or competitive research in support of business development, thought leadership and strategic business planning for Fidelity Canada. You will gain diverse exposure to Fidelity's functional areas and leadership teams and will have the opportunity to see tangible results from your research.

    What You Will Do

  • Primary Research: Assist with Fidelity Canada's primary research program including questionnaire design, sampling, data collection, and analysis. You will play a meaningful role in synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data and preparing research reports and/or dashboards for key internal partners.
  • Secondary Research: Support Fidelity Canada's advisor and institutional business lines with demand analysis and competitive positioning to identify key financial industry trends and uncover new business opportunities, working closely with industry-leading market research partners to inform strategic decision making.
  • Project Management: Oversee strategic projects for the Corporate Affairs group including scheduling, collaborating with internal and external partners, identifying risks, and reporting.

    • What We're Looking for:

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in a business, economics, quantitative focus area or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of market research experience, preferably in the financial services/asset management/market research industries
  • Completed Post-graduate degree in a business or quantitative subject area (including MBA) is an asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Completion of the CSC designation is preferred
  • Completion of the MRIA designation is considered an asset, as well as other investment-focused designations CFA/CAIA/CIM/etc.
