Logistics Coordinator – NCSY Canada (2017-2020)
- Responsible for overseeing event logistics (schedules, payments, food, etc.) for all programming events which include weekend retreats for up to 400 people.
- Responsible for managing communication related to programming events which included vendors (catering, venue, entertainment), management, event staff, volunteers and participants and their guardians.
- Provided front-line customer service to colleagues, parents, donors, lay leaders, and other community organizations.
Event Coordinator - Zareinu Educational Centre (2017)
- Responsible for managing cycling fundraiser that saw over 300 people participate and rose over $450,000,
- Created and implemented marketing and communications strategy to recruit riders, donors and volunteers using e-marketing, social media, community advertising, telethons and a marketing campaign involving community stores, schools and partner organizations, and
- Managed competing expectations of board and committee members, staff, regional government offices, vendors and volunteers to ensure that the event day ran smoothly and without issue.
Communications Coordinator - Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (2015-2017)
- Managed as many as three separate social media profiles simultaneously on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Created daily and weekly content calendars as well as campaigns for special events and initiatives.
- Worked with national and chapter staff to create and disseminate external communications material using social media, e-marketing pieces using Online Express (Blackbaud) and the CFHU website.
- Compiled and reported on website and social media metrics weekly to determine effectiveness of messaging and made recommendations to shift messaging based on findings.
- Designed social media and other required digital assets as required.
Program & Special Events Director - Beth Sholom (2012-2014)
- Dramatically updated quarterly and weekly bulletins, social media profiles and e-newsletters by working with in-house design team and a hired advertising agency which generated over $5,000 savings annually in design and production costs.
- Improved previously tarnished relationships with committee chairs by steadily developing boundaries, appropriately delegating tasks, setting realistic objectives with committee members and mediating with senior leadership who set policy.
- Managed logistics, third party vendors, staff and volunteers for programs and events intended to engage members, congregational school and community at large with the focus of bringing new membership into the synagogue.
- Re-developed and managed the logistics and content for High Holiday program with 10 paid staff members, 90 high school volunteers and 500 children participating in 6-8 different programs.
Communications Coordinator - MD Media (2010-2012)
- Wrote, edited, and sent story pitches to key members of the media, following up and booking interviews with client spokespeople for such media outlets as The Huffington Post, Sun Media, Metro and Daytime Toronto on Rogers TV.
- Researched and created pitches for potential clients which included creating proposals that outlined exactly how services would increase public exposure and potential earnings.
- Trained and accompanied clients for media interviews preparing mock interview questions and a best practices manual to ensure the client and/or produce was featured well.
- Compiled and edited media hits and impressions for cumulative reports at the completion of each contract.
