JOB OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Director, Leadership Giving Stewardship & Donor Communications, the Manager, Donor Relations & Stewardship, Leadership Giving is responsible for coordinating donor engagement, cultivation, recognition, and stewardship with current and prospective donors to the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).

This role will work collaboratively across the team and organization to effectively communicate the impact of giving to CCS's major gift donors as well as develop comprehensive stewardship strategies.

This position is ideal for an individual with demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit environment.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


  • Manage stewardship needs for PRMs based in Atl; Prairies; ON, Qc, PG, BCY, Corporate
  • Coordinate the stewardship and engagement activities required of senior leadership
  • Communicate effectively with staff on timelines for stewardship activities and ensure all actions are met in accordance with timelines and policies.
  • General oversight, coordination, and management of the LG stewardship framework and events calendar.
  • Help create new and original content plan for restricted fund donors
  • Research other organizations and benchmarks CCS's S&E activities with a view to making recommendations for change leading to best practice.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Volunteer management
  • Support Stewardship Officers with event support as required
  • SalesForce set up and maintenance
  • Matrix deliverable project support
  • Gift Agreement support
  • Manage DocuSign
  • Oversee Naming opportunities, plaques and signage
  • Foster a working environment that highlights the talents and strengths of each team member.
  • Ensure that hiring practices are inclusive.
  • Encourage growth and development opportunities for all team members.
  • Champion CCS as a hero in the face of cancer.
  • Actively contribute to our culture of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion by encouraging dialogue that respectfully considers a wide variety of ideas, opinions, and suggestions.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Undergraduate degree, a Master's Degree is preferred

years of working experience preferably in a non-profit organization, or academic institution with an understanding of these organizational contexts.


  • Innovative and creative thinker with ability to identify what will engage and motivate supporters
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Experience working in a teamoriented environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain trusted, effective working relationships with colleagues in a national organization with a matrixmanagement culture
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively to drive performance and results
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and analytical skills with the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • A team player who values an environment of open communication and collaboration
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • InDesign skills an asset
  • Bilingual (English / French) an asset
