    Description
    Our client, a leader in civil construction projects, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their corporate team.

    They believe in their employees and as a Canadian owned company that strives to build and sustain infrastructure necessary to help communities thrive.

    Fully in-office position
    Promote a positive & supportive corporate culture & model the Company Values
    Assist in ensuring policies are up to date & in accordance with all provincial/federal legislation
    Conduct training on policies & HR programs
    Monthly newsletters, employee survey distribution and recognition programs
    Recruitment & Selection including creating and posting job description, hiring recommendations, onboarding
    Payroll & Benefits including payroll submission, HR File management, benefits administration
    Advise team members & management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, & procedures
    Responsible for accurate & thorough employee information in personnel files & in HR software module for active & terminated employees
    Performs other administrative tasks as required by the President.

    Evaluate, assess & update safe work procedures & policies to ensure worker safety & compliance with all regulatory bodies & standards.

    Prepare & conduct safety training sessions, documenting employee participation
    Maintain Health Safety & Environment (HSE) policy handbook in compliance with WorkSafe BC standards
    Schedule third-party employee training program & manage employee certification tracking process
    Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Administration, CPHR designation an asset
    ~4+ years generalist HR experience, preferably within the construction or resource industry
    ~ Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Including PowerPoint & Excel
    ~ Previous experience in a unionized work environment, an asset
