The Team:
BDC Capital's

Growth Venture Co-investment Fund

(GVCF) targets late-stage innovation-based Canadian businesses that show strong potential for meaningful scale. Our team and network give entrepreneurs the structure and strategies to build markets worldwide.


The Role:


You will have the opportunity to work closely with GVCF investment professionals across Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, primarily supporting various aspects of the transaction process.


  • We have two positions open. Kindly note that this is a fulltime position offered in Fall 2023._

Opportunities & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on new and emerging technologies, sectors, and trends.
  • Pull together, organize, and centralize data across multiple sources.
  • Be involved in thoughtful dialogue and discussions on potential investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels inside the broader BDC organization.
  • Gain exposure to techenabled business models across different industries.

Requirements:


  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • Studying finance, commerce, management, or engineering, at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Interest in and/or knowledge of Venture Capital.
  • Datadriven, with knowledge of finance/accounting and startup metrics.
  • Strong Excel analytical skillset required.
  • Involvement in the startup community and a desire to cultivate new relationships.
  • A passion for technology demonstrated by indepth knowledge of current and emerging technology innovations.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Registered to continue studies in Winter 2023.

  • Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid)
