PRIDE Seeds is currently seeking a focused and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time permanent Data and Logistics Coordinator.
***: The
Data & Logistics Coordinator role focuses on data analytics to help drive decision making within the department as well as working to manage logistics alongside the sales support team. Works as part of the Inventory and Quality team, whose combined duties are to ensure the accuracy of inventory and quality of seed sold meets rigorous standards.

Position reports to Inventory and Quality Manager.


RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Responsible for projecting a positive image of PRIDE Seeds / AgReliant Genetics as site contact for logistics.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Liaison to production, sales, sales support, and customer service teams.

Data:


  • Complete data entry to ensure inventory control.
  • Assist with maintenance of quality control records for all inventory items.
  • Assist with maintenance of computerized inventory records for all stock items, both in a raw and finished state and verifies correctness by physical counting and reconciling quantities to assure accuracy of all reports submitted to the Administration department. Assist with initiating and managing all inventory creation activities, such as field and grower, receiving, bagging, rebag, retag, repositioning, transfers, and disposals.
  • Assist in directing, overseeing, and reporting on a monthly program of cycle counting.
  • Initiate and manage all inventory creation activities including receiving, bagging, rebag, retag, repositioning, transfers, and disposals.
  • Communicate with the primary supply manager, warehouse, and other IQ members to facilitate all transfers and trades.

Logistics:


  • Collaborate shipping activity with sales support team.
  • Work with Inventory and Quality coordinator on warehouse supply.
  • Keep a friendly but professional relationship with truck drivers.
  • Coordinate paper flow between sales support team and warehouse team.
  • Collaborate trucking using outside carriers for inventory transfers, including consumables for outside processors.
  • Recruit new carriers and maintain good relations with existing drivers.
  • Serve as logistics contact for all wholesale, import, and export trades and provide timely responses to requests.
  • Procure additional carriers as needed.
  • Identify inefficiencies within the logistics network and implement solutions that minimize operating costs within the department.
  • Assist in other supply chain projects/tasks as needed.

Additional:


  • Weigh in and out trucks when required.
  • Assist in annual inventory audit either.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Post secondary education in related field preferred.
  • Agriculture background preferred.
  • Data entry experience preferred.
  • Experience in the seed industry preferred.
  • Bilingual English and French an asset.
  • 3+ years' experience in related fields preferred.

KNOWLEDE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:


  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management desired
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work alone or as part of a team, ability to think strategically, detailoriented, and problem solver.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work required hours.
  • Role is 40 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays and overtime.
