    As a Senior DevOps engineer in our Network automation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting an agile automation platform. This team is part of our Networking Technology and Services division, which oversees the end-to-end development and operations of the TINAA (TELUS Intelligent Network Automation and Analytics) platform. You will be instrumental in shaping the architecture and implementation of our Network Automation Platform, integrating software components from top vendors into a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment to deliver top-notch network automation.

    What you will be responsible for:

    • Supporting an automation platform based on microservices deployed on OCP and GKE clusters, utilizing MongoDB, Postgres DB, and Elastic Search
    • Designing solutions with high availability and geo-redundancy to ensure platform reliability
    • Collaborating cross-functionally to establish SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and implement effective monitoring and alerting systems
    • Ingraining operational processes and procedures as part of your work ethic
    • Working with a mix of cloud-native and on-premises technologies to create a unified platform for world-class software development
    • Providing insights on the effort required for implementing solutions based on proactive operational assessments
    • Managing escalation processes effectively

    Your qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in DevOps and software engineering
    • Experience in ensuring reliable operation of deployments from end-to-end, including front-end to database and data pipelines
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools and best alerting practices
    • Strong understanding and experience with on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms like GCP, and other similar environments
    • Knowledge of networking concepts like SSH, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), routing, and subnets
    • Proficiency in Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
    • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.
    • Operational expertise in Kubernetes, Postgres, Elastic Search, and MongoDB
    • Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Spark, PubSub, Keycloak, Apigee, commonly used in software development
    • Working familiarity with Ansible, CICD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Harness
    • Demonstrated curiosity and a strong sense of ownership

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Knowledge of IP/MPLS or Optical transport
    • Experience with container platforms like GKE, EKS, OpenShift
    • Expertise in Automation with tools like Ansible
    • Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, Elastic Search, MySQL
    • Understanding of Load Balancers, Firewalls
    • Agile product management skills in frameworks like SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
