About the role:

IRISNDT is looking for Field Safety Officers for multiple turnarounds for the Spring and Fall turnaround season.


Reporting to the Canadian Safety Officer, the Field Safety Officer will, through field inspections, interactions and records audits, ensure that the company and its workers are compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as ensuring compliance with IRISNDT policies and procedures.


About you:

The Field Safety Officer will promote positive safety attitudes and safe work practices throughout the worksite.


Requirements:


Minimum 5 years as a safety professional in the oil & gas industry (refinery/upgrader experience preferred) - Current and valid NCSO.

Experience conducting field inspections and audits.

Experience conducting incident investigations.

Comfortable with camp work, good communication skills Safety Requirements.

Rope access experience would be considered an asset.


Current safety certifications:

First Aid, WHMIS, CSE, CSTS, H2S, Fall Pro - CSA approved steel toe boots, additional PPE supplied by IRISNDT.

Pre employment alcohol and drug clearance - IRISNDT will cover associated cost.


Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.

All potential employees will be required to complete a pre-employment fitness examination and an alcohol and drug screening.
