    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    Are you passionate about using your nursing skills to make a positive impact on the lives of adults facing challenges due to alcohol, drug, or gambling issues? Join Lander Treatment Centre in Claresholm, a 48-bed residential addiction treatment facility. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Addictions and Mental Health (AMH), you'll provide hope and compassion to clients on their journey to recovery. Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to support clients in achieving their wellness goals. Your role involves direct nursing care, treatment matching, assessments, care planning, health management, medication oversight, and discharge planning.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide nursing care within an interdisciplinary team
    • Support clients in their recovery journey
    • Participate in treatment planning and implementation
    • Manage physical and mental health needs
    • Coordinate discharge processes

    Team Structure:

    Work alongside RNs, Addiction Counsellors, Mental Health Therapists, and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic environment. Your ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, demonstrate strong time management, organizational skills, and critical thinking is crucial to success in this role. Strong interpersonal and relational skills are essential for patient-centered care.

    Location:

    Based in Claresholm, AB, this position welcomes applicants from the south zone.

    Description:

    As an LPN, you play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care by applying nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Adhere to AHS policies and procedures while upholding the organization's vision and values.

    Qualifications:
    • Graduate from an accredited practical nurse program
    • Licensed or eligible for registration with CLPNA
    • Current BCLS-HCP certification
    Additional Qualifications:
    • Proven ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
    • Effective communication skills for client education
      • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in Addictions and Mental Health treatment
      • Prior LPN experience in Emergency or psychiatric nursing
      • Familiarity with Nicotine Replacement Therapy management
      • Knowledge of Opioid Agonist Therapy
