    Tetra Tech is seeking full-time Intermediate Geotechnical Engineers with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience to support dam engineering and traditional geotechnical projects, primarily in our Nanaimo and Vancouver, BC offices.

    We offer the flexibility of a hybrid work environment focused on quality and employee development.

    Typical project opportunities will be related to dam safety management, dam stability evaluations, investigation and instrumentation programs, design and construction monitoring, and mine site reclamation.

    Your role might also include support related to Federal, Provincial, and Local development as well as international projects.

    Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

    Planning and supervising geotechnical investigations
    Evaluating geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and earth structures
    Analyzing field data and preparing detailed engineering reports and recommendations
    Conducting construction monitoring activities for various projects
    Periodic travel, including overnight stays, to project sites to oversee field investigations, construction QA/QC activities, audits, or other activities will be required
    Project management of small and medium multidiscipline projects including budget, schedule and quality control
    Proposal and project report writing and review
    Collaborating as a team member and mentoring junior staff
    Minimum undergraduate degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological Engineering or similar
    Knowledge of AutoCAD, GeoStudio 2007 Products and MS Office
    Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being a team player
    Must be physically capable of performing the required field duties
    Must possess a valid BC Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
    Eligible for overtime (calculated at 1.Hybrid work options when you are not in the field. We'll provide the technology for you to work remotely.
